Butterflies of the PNW - fine art print

Just like with the bees, I had to make some artwork of butterflies native to the PNW, because I was curious about the ones I see around us, especially in the summertime. There are so many—over 200 native species! These are a few of the ones who caught my eye or who I recognized from a childhood growing up on the shores and forests of Puget Sound. 

One of my favorite parts of making a piece like this is the research and learning, before even setting paint to paper. With each print I include a little card with information about native butterflies and how we can help them.

This is an open edition, archival fine art print from an original watercolor and ink illustration. Printed on heavyweight, acid-free, lightly-textured paper, made locally by Chatwin Printing of Seattle, who specialize in fine art prints. Each is signed by the artist, ready to frame. Ships rolled, in a sturdy mailing tube.
