Rough Skinned Newt - fine art print

These little ones make me happy every time I see them. We used to rescue them as they slowly crossed our street growing up, carrying them safely across the road (and we still do). Only later did I learn that they are deadly poisonous! You’ll be fine if you touch them, just wash your hands right afterward, and definitely don’t lick one. 

I love how their backs are brown and their bellies are orange, just like the Douglas squirrels who live in the trees around here.
